| BLENDING IMAGES |
|
Blending images is definatly one of the most important effects to graphic design, practically every layout, graphics, etc has some kind of blending that happened to the pictures. So here is a little tutorial to help you with. Sorry if I am not very detailed about the instructions.
Here is the graphic we are trying to acheive. See how the two images are blended together?
1. First copy and past these 2 images onto a new sheet on Photoshop with a width of 317 and a height of 173. Lets say the first image is layer 1 and the second picture is layer 2.
When you have pasted them on the sheet, Layer 2 should be overlapping Layer 1. So it should look like this.
2. Make sure that the layout you have selected to working on is Layer 2, or else it won't work. This is how yur Layers navigation on your far right should be.
Ok now go to Layers on the top left right next to Image and go to Layers >> Add Layer Mask >> Reveal All. Now your Layers navigation should look like this. Go to the Navigation layers to yur right and click on the plain white box right next to the Layer 2 image.
3. Now click on the Gradiant button. This little button
NOTE: There is also another way of blending, you can use the erase button, which is this button If you still are having a hard time working on how to blend images, you can as for further help from me. Just e-mail me here. |
